Announced in December 2025, Kubernetes Agent Sandbox provides a declarative CRD-based API for spinning up isolated, stateful pods specifically designed for agent code execution. It supports gVisor and Kata Containers for runtime isolation, giving platform teams fine-grained control over the security boundary between agent workloads and the rest of the cluster. For organizations already running Kubernetes, this approach fits directly into existing GitOps workflows without requiring a separate sandbox platform or additional infrastructure.
